About Me

My journey in nursing started at an early age of 19. I spent my first 10 years in Philippines then migrated to New Zealand and stayed there for 12 years developing my skills in different health care setting and completed further studies. Together with my family, we moved to Melbourne in early 2018 and went back working in aged care and eventually back to my ultimate passion which is community and primary health care nursing.

After more than 2 decades since I started as a young nurse. I realized that there’s no such thing as a “one health care plan that fits all” even for clients with same health condition.

You need a collaborative effort with the client and their family, health care staff and other allied health services to create a patient centred health care plan. Having the knowledge and expertise is not enough to become an effective nurse or a support worker. We need to listen to our clients because they bring unique and relevant perspectives on their own health.

Nurse N Care was created to integrate client voice into health care delivery. Understanding their specific needs, preferences, culture, beliefs, expectations and working in partnership with them is the best strategy to promote positive health care outcome.
